My wife and I are about 18 months out until we plan to start looking at buying some investment property. In the mean time we want to inundate ourselves with as much information and education as possible. Does anyone have any information on where to find seminars or workshops on any of the following in the local areas.
Buying foreclosures
Owning and buying rental properties
Securing financing or other means of buying property
Anything pertaining to buying investment property

Try and find either a local mentor or a real estate investment group.

Some community college systems have extensive, what they call "continuing education" class schedules, which sometimes include classes on real estate investing.

Honestly the first two responses are the best. No need to waste money on a guru.

Real estate investing is not hard. Pretty simple math and numbers.
