Edit. Alright just crashed again. But it let me play around longer before it did
Sounding more like video card or drivers if it works better in safe mode. Dunno what the correlation with Chrome might mean to that hypothesis.

It's definitely not GPU driver related because of the locks at post. But I agree that it's not quite 100% safe to rule out the card itself yet.
