Not a knock against this Firestone but it was the worst tires I had ever had on a car. I picked them out so not their fault.

Gonna have to disagree on that one. Have had Firestone Destination A/Ts on my Tacoma for three years now - never a complaint, great tread wear, quiet, and are excellent in all conditions.
There is a reason they are the number one tire.
