Dog Island...can't get any further away from tourists. Minimal amenities but essentially empty beach.

This. I was there a few weeks back for the first time. There were only a few people on the island. We had the beach to ourselves every day. Thanks to some environmental regulations, it can't really be developed much more. Fishing and crabbing was great. It's also dirt cheap. 7 nights in a 3br/2ba house on the beach was a little under $1400.

The only problem is you have to carry everything in and out, but as long as you're not high maintenance it isn't a problem.
