If it wasn't shitty we wouldn't have any. Still gonna cheer like hell for those birds this year but gotta call em like I see em, the 2014 version of the falcons looked a lot like 2013.
Falcons were gonna suck either way... the injuries only confirm. No chemistry on that team.

With #Falcons LT Sam Baker likely out for the season with a torn patella, plan to put rookie Jake Matthews at LT is accelerated. Big test
So Junior will likely be going toe to toe with the rookie, while Jordan beats up Holmes on the right side, unless they sign someone else.

Seems likely they'll try to trade for someone or sign someone decent during cut time.

I've been asking Falcons fans what exactly does Mike Smith do? He doesn't run the offense or defense. Does he just manage the coaches and call the timeouts?

They might as well put Matthews at the LT spot and run with it. He's gonna be there eventually anyway.

He's not ready yet. He's still having troubles at RT.
Though given who else they have they are fricked no matter who they put there(not that Baker was a great choice to begin with).

Feel terrible for Baker. And I even feel kinda bad for the Falcons
Kinda

They are gonna throw Matthews at LT. Goal is to get Carimi at RT but he's still gotta banged up ankle. If Lamar Holmes starts at RT, early congrats on the win in week 1.

Why waste time at RT though at this point? Throw him to left and let him learn trial by fire

Jenkins is the only one who hasn't been in the line up.
It may be more on the linebackers not playing disciplined. The defense as a whole didn't have the best game last week.
It's that our LBs just suck, as they have last year. Nothing's changed.

If they have another year like they did last year, smith will be axed

One can only hope, I mean pray, I mean sacrifice a fricking leprechaun so that it happens.

I'm not saying keep Matthews at RT. I'm saying he isn't ready, but neither is anyone else they have (and Baker also was below average at best).
Basically I was just saying they are fricked.

Agreed it's the LBs and Galette overpursuing to the play. Galette has been getting better at it but it still happens. Also they have missed tackles too.
Humber and Knox actually looked pretty good with their gap discipline. I hope they get a bigger role during the season.

Damn Baker plays 2 games last year and now out for the whole season. Not quite living up to that 40+ mil contract he signed.
