Agreed. I'd rather keep Toon.

Suspense is killing me.

I did but it's my fault for not specifying.
I'm pretty pumped about the Packers SNF. It should be a jolly time... and I'm pretty sure it's gonna be the win where doubters finally accept that we're a very legitimate contender.

How bout y'all?

Swap him for Cadet. I'm down.

re: McCown is clearly #2

This team is screwed anyways if Brees goes down. I'm all for just keeping Griffin.

In my opinion Lee should've remained the starter, but let's not act like Lee was great and JJ was just horrible. There are people that actually believe JJ was the worst qb ever at LSU and that's just not true.

He was decidedly below average for his entire career despite having an amazing supporting cast - some of the best and deepest teams in the history of the program. Without all of that talent he would have been even more of a train wreck. I don't think you can say he's the worst EVER, but he's probably the worst long-term starter.
23-20 LSU with a last second FG.

Offense struggles... 4 turnovers
16 team playoff is ideal IMO. Split the big 5 conferences away from the rest of D1 and make them a new league. This ends the BS about "college kids not being able to handle it" .. then don't play in the big boy league .. Sorry.

I could live with 8 though. 4 is too few.

re: Trade Makes Sense

Doesn't make sense because there is about a 0% chance that we keep 3 QBs anyway so why would they trade a pick for one of our guys when they could just nab them once we release them?
I'm not really interested in trading Griffin for what he is worth. I'm not too comfortable with McCown (despite how bad Griffin looked last night) if Brees goes down. We would be worse off than StL is now.

Rams should tank.

Honestly this could be a good option for them. Great defense (needs some help in the secondary), lots of decent skill position players.. Need a little OL help and a QB. that's it. A high draft pick nabs them a top QB (mariota, Hundley, Winston?) in the next draft plus a potentially good DB or guard at the top of the 2nd round. They'd be pretty well off if one of those Rookie QBs worked out well for them.

Worried about how often we're seeing Pierre on passing plays only but never on a run play. Hope we don't get predictable with it like we did with Sproles.

Good first drive.

I'm anxious to see the full D in action. This is a good test.

Anyone else scared of the Eagles offense?

Posted by Gruky on 8/22/14 at 10:21 pm
There is a ton of guys in that offense that it makes sense for them to get a ton of touches....

McCoy
Sproles
Maclin
Cooper
Smith
Matthews
Celek
Ertz

I just feel like the only sure fire guy here is McCoy. The rest could easily be interchangeable.. As a permanent thing or even week-to-week. I'm high on guys like Ertz and Maclin who seem like high-upside picks but I'm afraid of getting burned.

Even with McCoy it's very plausible that Sproles eats into some of his production, especially on passing downs.

Anyone else feel this way?

How long ago were you in school? Were you ever in public school? They do not give a shite about your rights.
The modern browns assumed the history of the old browns whenever they were brought back into existence. It was a widely publicized decision.
I'm pretty sure he was labeled as a project prior to the draft. High upside but low floor. He hasn't played corner for very long. He has a lot to learn.. So it was pretty apparent going in that he wouldn't see much PT this season.
Seems likely they'll try to trade for someone or sign someone decent during cut time.

I was planning on proposing to my then girlfriend (now my wife) at the Superdome, so I called the Saints organization to try and get field passes. After being transferred numerous times, I somehow got Mickey Loomis' number and explained to him how my girlfriend was a die-hard fan and how it would make her very happy to propose to her on the field. He told me, "We don't do that" and hung up on me. Dick.
