I remember watching USC play at Oregon State in the Pete Carrol years. The game was so foggy that you could barely see any of the game. Not so much a strange night, but a strange game indeed.

I was at that game. We had the worst seats...corner endzone, field level - behind the USC band...

Turned out to be the best seats as they were one of the few vantage points where you could actually see the game. But even at field level - once the team crossed the 50 - the view was lost again.

There was almost no cheering in the game because most people couldn't see shite. Strange experience. Foggy, silent...eerie..

The 2008 Iron Bowl was similar. The game was at 2:30 in Tuscaloosa. There was a heavy fog. You could see the field fine, but you could not see anything outside the stadium. Really made it feel like the football game was the only thing going on.
