Michael Brown question?

Question to get you're opinion. Victim's body was released to the family yesterday. The family is upset and wants justice for the death of their son. The witness say he was running away when he was shot. Would the morgue not be able to tell if he was indeed shot in the back? and if so wouldn't you think this would be leaked to press to help justify the witness story? Just a thought, what do you think?

Homicide = autopsy was done. The medical examiner will prepare a report which would become a legal document so a leak would depend on the integrity of who has access to the report.

Yes the ballistics and autopsy should be able to corroborate one the two stories.
Because the alleged story for the officer is that he was charging at him when he was firing with the final round to the forehead is counter to the story that he was shot in the back etc it should pretty cut and dry quite honestly.
The one thing that raised an eyebrow for me was the families request to have an outside autopsy. This is complete speculation but if the official autopsy/ballistics corroborates the story of the witnesses and the narrative that been was prevalent during the first four days why the need for an outside autopsy?

Good point. If you are satisfied with the original autopsy report, than why have another one done.

I'll take, because you are a narcissistic race baiting lawyer giving the family crap advice to further your own notoriety and name recognition for $1000 Alex.

Another question about the eyewitnesses story was that police officer grabbed 6'3 victim's neck while still seated in the car, that seems it would be tough to do from a squad car, maybe not if it were an SUV. Officer was treated at a hospital, the eyewitnesses story never mentions Brown laying a hand on officer, will be interesting to see the photos of the officers injuries. I also can't believe we have not seen a picture of the officer involved.

Right. I mean, no one has ever falsified an autopsy report before.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but I think what the original post was trying to say is that the autopsy says he was shot in the front not in the back ergo the family wants another one done.

Man was asked what happend, and his story is not the same as the other winesses.
He said there was a fight at the car. He said he ran and when the cop chased him he(Brown) doubled back towards the cop.

No. I'm not saying it's not true. I just think management of this situation has been nothing short of a joke.

It could be but that a pretty damning eyewitness account that was unknowingly given.
This video coupled with the cops story given today through a third party, the robbery info and the request for another autopsy...
I dont know.
The bottom line is that its just a sad event either way it turns out. Its just sad.

Agreed. I never said it wasn't a good shooting. In fact, my worry and contempt all along has been that so much damage has been done over something that possibly shouldn't have been that much of a big deal to begin with.

I can agree with this but there is plenty of blame that goes to both sides for this for how its escalated.

Oh, I'm not excusing the looters and vandals at all. I find their behavior repugnant and inexcusable. The people that behave in such a way will look for any excuse to do so. That's why I'm disappointed in the way the police department and city council have handled the matter. By not being transparent, they gave these thugs the opportunity to use it as an excuse to loot.

Understood.
Thats a shitty video to watch. A young man lying there on the road. It doesnt matter in the larger picture what the truth is going to turn out to be, as a father, I have sympathy for his family.
Just tough tough tough...

In some respects that is true, but it's not like the whole city is burning. Those self proclaimed protestors were going to wreck shite regardless.
Seems like right after that video of his assaulting and stealing from the Kwik E Mart surfaced, things died down in a hurry....no pun intended.

Well, that's a relief. The news outlets are making it sound like Cambodia out there.
