I don't think anyone is actively trying harder because it's iron banner.

I would disagree with that. But even if they didn't , it adds to the thrill with more reward.

3. Skirmish
4. Regular Control
5. Iron Banner
6. Salvage
7. Clash
8. Rumble
9. Combines Arms
Is my ranking for fun. Something about Iron Banner is always laggy for me. But I love all 9 of these types, so I am splitting hairs here.
I have never tried Inferno but it sounds awful with the shotguns in this game.
Also have never tried Mayhem but I doubt I would like it.
