If you're living your life without the condiment ketchup, then cocktail cannot be made.. that was my point. Can't substitute with something made from the condiment you're giving up.
Just like if you gave up mustard, you couldn't "make do" with a mustard-based recipe. It's no longer in your possession.. at least that's the way I interpreted it.
(Unless you're referring to that shite in a jar that they call cocktail, in which case..
)
