re: Chili on top of rice vs. chili on top of Fritos

From Houma, LA and like I've stated before had never heard of this before. Asked my mom, her brother, and her sister this weekend who are all from the heart of NOLA and they all three said they had heard of it and it was a Yankee thing. They said they had never tried it, nor would they. I would at least try it I think. But after speaking with them I'm pretty confident that this is a method of a typical northern Yankee, not southern LA folks. Possible roots include: Michigan and Ohio.
