The airport in dallas proper is love field and you don't want to live there. The best suburb to bring a family is frisco. Frisco has good schools and plenty of parks, lake Lewisville, restaurants, etc. But it really depends on where your job will be because traffic can be a bitch.
May have misread your post about family. ..young singles are all over dallas area

Office location is negotiable. I'm more concerned with staying out of traffic and quality of life.

No family. Just me.

Terrible advice for a young single person

Dallas proper if you're renting and single. Uptown near Mckinney will be your best bet if you're looking for walking distance bars/restaurants and plenty of young folks

Also greenville ave area has some nice rent houses

Southlake eats Frisco alive. Grapevine too.
