If anyone can think of a better idea than the current format, then I would be very interested to hear it. I am thinking about the editing the process for players transferring out, but not for this year.
Honestly, I think the system for dealing with transfers out is fine. Maybe what you do is take everyone who had a player transfer out and order them randomly for the supplemental draft?
I would be much more interested in changes to the weekly waiver system...

OH, didn't know that sorry. I still have Mannone then.

I'm sure we all agree, but it's difficult on a message board to do it the way fantasy sites do.
Maybe we put a deadline that by Tuesday night say if you want to make a change. That way we might save some time on going through the waiver list. Then on Wednesday give each person a certain amount of time to post their change.
Those that make a change get moved on the waiver order to the bottom.

Well, I'm in several different leagues that do waivers differently. I would say to either [1] keep waivers open 24 hours, 7 days a week, [2] make a waiver priority system with email submissions or, [3] add a limit on the # of waivers a team can make per day and per week.
My biggest problem is the window opening at 8am. I'm commuting to work then and pretty much have zero chance of getting a hot player via waivers (as today showed). Hell, today, the only reason I was even able to submit a waiver request was because I was in standstill traffic waiting to get on to the interstate. Then you have to try and guess how close your clock is to the TD clock because you don't want to submit early. I guess I waited just a TAD too long to submit my pick and lost out. It probably sounds like sours grapes this morning, but I do think the system needs some tweaking.

We can change the time from 8 central if everyone prefers a different time. I tried to pick a fair time.
As far as other ways to do waivers, this was discussed extensively in 2012. This is the simplest way to do it, and honestly that is what matters. The email system would be a pain and too much work. Plus, I would have an inherent advantage knowing all the intended moves.
Personally, I like the system, but we can push it back to 10 or something so everyone would likely have access to a CPU for those five minutes (even if you should be working).

Hey, VKC, would you be interested in a trade for Clichy?
Posted on 8/27/14 at 12:31 pm to WarSlamEagle
Sure, why not? I would probably be most interested in a forward, but send me an offer.
I could be a little slow today because I am on vacation.
