Does the AT effect MPG that much? I had toyo mud country on my last f-150 and the mpg went to shite
Depends on tire size and tire ply. The Cooper Discoverer AT3's in a 275/60/20 are 4 ply tires; so they don't weigh much more than a normal street tire. If you go to a bigger tire in a load range E 8 ply, you'll notice a difference.

My 295/65r20 (35.1x11.8) weigh 15lbs less per tire than the same size MT (trail grappler). The 60 extra lbs makes a huge difference in rolling resistance and obviously ride/MPG.
