The outrage you speak of is expressed by working with these young men and women who are at risk. That quiet work goes on everyday.
The black community has plenty of leaders, they just don't show up on TV every five seconds.

When will people stand up in their own communities and do something about this?
The police are damned if they do and damned if they don't. This case notwithstanding because we don't know all of the facts yet. For a race that's portrayed as being so oppressed blacks sure do commit a lot of crimes against each other.
I heard a comedian say once about guns and race crimes, "you give two rednecks two guns and they go kill two deer, you give two inner city kids two guns and they go kill each other." Sadly, there is truth to that statement.
