I agree with this but this is also where I'm torn. Why us? And I don't mean that in a spotty, "I don't want to spend our money and lives over there" kind of way. I mean it in a

1) People in that area are generally suspicious of us, expect the worst & are hard to win over bc of this

2) We seem to always just make it worse. At the least, we are ineffective in long term solutions

3) A neighboring nation would likely more more effective sleigh long term solutions, as it seems they aren't ready for democracy there. A culture shift is needed and our culture is too different to assist.

4) Every time we fail over there, we create an environment rich for recruitment for terrorists. So we save THESE girls but there are plenty of terrorists to replace the ones we "defeat" to kidnap and torture more.

I don't want boots on the ground. We have to do something. How much worse can it get over there? Radical Muslims are saying they're bad, for fricks sake.

And sorry, I think you're awesome, but I didn't read all of your post. I don't mean that in a bitchy way, but TIFWIW.
