But according to some posters on this board, this is OK, we need to mind our own business and live and let live, I am sure there is an explanation here and two sides to this story

We have let it go long enough. We are the most powerful country in the world. We need to round those bastards up like cattle and microwave the frick out of their sorry asses.

We need to get involved in this. I don't want boots on the ground or any more Americans dying, but someone has to stop them.

I agree with this but this is also where I'm torn. Why us? And I don't mean that in a spotty, "I don't want to spend our money and lives over there" kind of way. I mean it in a

1) People in that area are generally suspicious of us, expect the worst & are hard to win over bc of this

2) We seem to always just make it worse. At the least, we are ineffective in long term solutions

3) A neighboring nation would likely more more effective sleigh long term solutions, as it seems they aren't ready for democracy there. A culture shift is needed and our culture is too different to assist.

4) Every time we fail over there, we create an environment rich for recruitment for terrorists. So we save THESE girls but there are plenty of terrorists to replace the ones we "defeat" to kidnap and torture more.

What do you make of the fact that neighboring countries like Iran, Turkey and Saudi Arabia don't seem worried enough about ISIS to get involved, despite having militaries that could wipe them out?
