he tried to make them equivalent. they are not
it sounds really nice to play the "hey i'm going to defend this underdog culture and try to display hypocrisy by comparing it to the dominant culture of the area/time that is criticizing the underdog culture" card
but when you get into comparing the 2...it's often a simple comparison
again. i am not religious. i am not christian, jewish, buddhist, hindu, taoist, shinto, sikh, or a member of any indigenous faith
