scrub sweet potato well, place on a foil lined sheet (but not wrapped in foil) bake at 450 for 20 minutes and then at 350 for an hour

orrrrr, you can wash it, rub some bacon grease around on it, wrap it up with a wet paper towel, micronuke it for about 5-6 minutes, roll it over and do the same thing on the other side, peel it, squish it, put a glob of butter on it, and eat it.
