season 1 definitely isn't as good as the others. However, the show is about Tony's life (his family and his job) and how the two are so different yet occasionally intersect.
It's hard to say, what are you looking for? I don't think it is an enjoyable "binge" show. It is something that strikes your interest and as you watch week to week it builds. I'd feel exhausted if I binged on the sopranos personally.

I sort of felt the same way watching CYE. It's hilarious but to binge watch Larry can be exhausting.
