I'm sure she/he is a great dog. My Amstaff lets my son (who is 2 1/2) do anything to him. My son pokes his eyes, pulls his tail, jumps on him, whatever. Dog doesn't even move. I've seen my son grab his balls and my dog just takes it. He's animal aggressive, though. But, we gave a chihuahua and a cat and he's cool with them.

I'll let him answer that for you. I can say this - it's been working. I may need to go with the shock collar though.
Edit: Downshift method is this: dogs only understand two things...food and pain.
