The difference this time is that Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, and other Arab nations are fully supporting Israel. Even Iran is strangely quiet because they are also very concerned and don't want Hamas' vision to unroot the power structure in their country. These countries are afraid of what is going on in Libya, Syria, Iraq, and other places due to the growing influence of the islamic elements who want to establish an islamic regional power.
No power, no access to underground tunnels, a strict crackdown by Egypt & Jordan on Palestinians, no water or sewerage systems working, and no communications network all spell a mass exodus by those who remain.

They need to allow refuge for innocent civilians. The ones remaining at that point are fair game. I'm not that concerned about other countries being involved as long as it isn't the U.S.. We need to stay out of ME wars.
