Hamas is literally dug in and fighting the war on two separate fronts. Egypt is quietly bombing the hell out of them and blowing up every tunnel they can find in conjunction with Israel. Right now its all about completely destroying the vast tunnel network that was allowed to operate from Egypt for years. Egypt has blown up over 1600 tunnels since they started cracking down on the Islamic Brotherhood and Hamas.

By the time this is over with Gaza will be a ghost town and even more isolated than it is right now.

You may be right. General Al-Sisi is building a reputation as the most despised leader in the Arab world, and he was roundly criticized throughout the Mideast for his joke of a ceasefire proposal. Gaddafi, Saddam and Arafat may have been tyrants, but at least they weren't collaborators.

Far from it Al-Sisi has actually become the power broker for the middle east. He is in solidarity with UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia, Syria, Iran, and even Lebanon in their support of Israel.

The Arab world doesn't want another quagmire on its hands they currently have enough with Libya, Tunisia, Syria, Iraq, Afganistan, Pakistan, and the islamic areas of Africa. The only countries that are publicly supporting Hamas are Turkey and Qatar.
