Great beer on tap everywhere I have been. You have to try Cold Smoke on draft if you get a chance, it's like tin roof parade grounds except smoother and on draft

My dad and his wife went the exact same tI me last year and literally got out there the day after the government shutdown started. His wife had never been to Yellowstone (he has with me in late April 1998) and never got to enter the park. They ended up spending the whole time in Jackson Hole. Talk about crappy luck.
To the OP, have you been by Grand Prismatic spring yet? The northern part of the park with the limestone formation and the boiling mud pots is a must see as well.
