The infrastructure, finances, and support that some of these terrorist groups have is pretty substantial, and it is much more feasible for a non-state actor to do something crazy, like set off a large bomb in a U.S. city.
Yes, a bomb could go off in a major city, but the chances of being killed by a terrorist are so small that being afraid of it is the definition if moronic.
It's like being afraid of being in a mass shooting.
Yes, I'm equating people who fear being killed by a terrorist to anti-gun nuts who fear mass shootings every day.
They are both irrational.

This is the exact opinion of the Progressives to whom I refer in my previous post.
Their view is that we need to stop all of these "War on Terror" activities, because the odds of one person being harmed in a terror attack are very small.
We'd save a LOT of money if we simply accept these few thousand casualties a year from terror attacks.
