Would you do a business plan that knows in advance that your company would lose money? What's worse, you don't even know how much you will lose because you don't how much these pre-existing conditions might cost. What is exactly our business background?

Precisely why I said such an arrangement would be nonsensical. Keep up or get out.

Yep. Put another way.

I paid about $1000 to my auto insurer last year.
I didn't have to file a claim and the insurance company pocketed the money. Had I had a claim, they would have had to pay out, maybe at a loss.

The insurance company took up the risk on me.
