I've been waiting to hear back from him anyways.
Our lease was up end of June. I emailed him beginning of June to let him know we wanted to renew for another year. He emailed me back saying to give him some time and he would get the lease together and send it back to me.
That was mid June. Haven't received anything yet. Considering I have a feeling he is gonna increase our rent I haven't pushed the issue....just mailed July rent and he deposited it.

Why would he increase. How much are you paying

Cause he hinted at it with our last lease renewal. The email said he didn't increase our rent because we have been great tenants.
Rents have gone up big time in our area. We pay $1420/month for a 1900 sq foot home. 3 bedroom/2 bath. 2 car garage minutes away from Old Town Scottsdale(where the bars/restaurants/clubs/shopping is at). It's a great area. Older neighborhood but the location is very ideal.

Email him back and tell him to suck your dick. That should fix it.

I have a steal at my current place. 2bd 2 bath, 1320 sqft. $979 a month. Perkins Rowe area.
I will stay here until I buy a house or relocate.

My husband hates this house. It is old(built 1960) and def needs renovating. But he is literally 2 minutes from his work and we are close to everything else.
A house 2 houses down from us just went up for rent as well. It has a pool and just looks nicer from the outside.

That is our plan as well. Every time he complains about this place I keep reminding him that it makes no sense to pay more money to move when we are saving up for a house. That we just suck it up for now. We love the neighborhood and would totally buy a home in this neighborhood if there was one in our price range that was renovated. We just hate the house.
ETA: Your place is a condo?
After renting a house I could never go back to a condo/apt. Not with dogs.

I've thought about moving to a house but it doesn't really fit my lifestyle at the moment. I love my apartment. Buying a house is something ill do 6 years from now at 35. That'll be about right time.

It's a walk up. It's pretty pimp place. I think I like it because it's so cheap.

I hear ya. My husband and I both were never the type that just HAD to buy a home. Esp after we both saw several friends lose theirs when the market collapsed out here in 2008.
I've always liked renting and being able to move if I wanted to. He is the same. Both of us finally ready to actually buy a home.
