I was there back at the first of June. We stayed in the cabins at canyon lodge. It's about as centrally located in the park as you can stay. I like it because it's not but about 10 minutes from the Hayden Valley. I enjoyed getting up at daylight and looking for bears, saw one catch and eat an elk calf one morning

the first summer i worked there, the lake was still frozen in june and it snowed on us july 4. i worked at the canyon lodge.
also, if you're into rodeos, there are two good ones to choose from. the one in cody, wyoming (which also has the museum of the rockies) and one in livingston, montana.
