South LA defines my cooking. I'm so happy I live in NOLA. Great, great food. Maybe it's not a bunch of Michelin starred restaurants, but I know that every night of the week I can go to a great restaurant if I so choose and not have to sweat having made a reservation a month in advance. That's awesome.
Otees, you stay in NOLA? Whereyat? I ain't never knew that.

I'm undercover. Since moving to "NoLA", these dumbass admins have been fooled into thinking I mean "New Orleans" instead of "North Louisiana", and I haven't been banned since.
And Cap, I do understand your point. But here's the counter...Neither New York, or San Fran, or any other food city that can be said to be a greater food destination will ever match Nola in one critical point. None of them will ever be the flagship of a truly unique American cuisine, as Nola is for South La cuisine. I believe the unique quality of Nola's food history and evolving food culture make it THE American culinary leader. JMHO
