He was utilized pretty damn effectively with the Saints when he could stay healthy.

I said in the OP that they never figured out how to effectively use Bush. I blame it on the fact the it was Payton's first few years as a HC and as great as he is, everyone has a learning curve. I think he made mistakes with Reggie and he learned from them and does a better job fining the right roles for players.
