Cam Cameron, John Chavis, Frank Wilson...

3 integral pieces of the puzzle for continued success at LSU. Serious question: What are the chances of these 3 staying at LSU if Miles coaches through his contract? (which I think is like 5 more years...admittedly don't know his exact contract terms).

I think Cam and Chavis stay. Frank will probably leave at some point for a small HC job or big OC job.

As long as Les is here all three will be here. Frank is the only one that may leave but he's making so much money as an assistant that he doesn't need to chase another job.

I still firmly believe an arrangement will be in place to make Cameron the head coach and Wilson OC.
I bet we have 3 more seasons of Chavis, maybe. It seems like there's always been a little chatter each off-season about him retiring and going back to the east coast.
Wilson is an interesting dilemna because he gets paid more than a lot of head coaches. He also has no OC experience, so it's difficult for major programs to make that leap for him. And mid-majors can't pay him what we can. It's exactly why I think LSU finds a way to keep him with the OC in waiting offer

What exactly has Cam done in his 2 yrs to warrant LSU making a deal with him to become the next HC at LSU? Our passing O was 5th best in the SEC and our total O was 6th best in the SEC. That came with a Sr, drafted QB, 2 drafted, pretty good R, and a pretty good RB.
No doubt the O was better this past season, but I'm gonna need the O to show me a lot more before signing on to LSU making an OC whose only HC time in college resulted in a 33% winning percentage.

Well, first of all, last year here was an offensive explosion with ATM, Bama, auburn,!ole miss, Georgia and LSU all having dominant offenses. You're underestimating Cameron's effect very much. May I remind you of the 2009-2011 offenses.

Just speaking of his college coaching career, he coached at IU. Nobody goes to IU for football. He has the talent to work with his offense here. I do think that giving him the nod for next HC my be pushing a bit. If he continues doing what hes doing though, I would not mind at all.

How about Les remain head coach until he's 82 and everyone stay put so we won't have to worry about any of this?
