It got ping and titleist clubs into the doors. It also got the advertising better. 2010 we did 1.2 mil in golf. 2013 we did 2.4 mil. Dicks as a hole made a ton through golf. My store was 18-20% of the business. Most were 12-15%. Pretty big impact. Dicks single handily closed a tom of Edwin watts stores due to that.

hold on Zee I am not hating on Dick's, honestly my first reaction upon seeing this article was much more on the game as a whole
FWIW I figured this was coming as I saw the Dick's pathetic 1Q numbers floating around the internet some time ago
