I see what you're getting at... By this logic, as long as you pay most of your income tax then the government shouldn't get upset? We all know what happens to people in tax evasion... They get more time than killers in some cases.
ETA I'm sure they already make a decent amount on fines from people that get arrested.

How can you compare a citizen committing a crime to a government making a decision on its laws?
