Give the guy a break he is new to the craft beer scene. It took me 6 months just to figure out my style & palate.

That beer is bad. Life is too short to drink bad beer. There's definitely a learning curve, and I'll fully admit I'm still learning. But if we can help him out by pointing him in the direction of good beer, we can help him shorten his learning curve and not have to go through the experience of drinking shite like Jockamo or Indian Wells Amnesia IPA.
