Yeah, but I bet he would have had no problem drafting Johnny football though, who is far worse of a person than Sam.

How do you figure that?

Johnny Manziel is also a much better player than Michael Sam. So there's that.....

Good for Dungy for being honest. I wouldn't risk having my season being a circus on a 7th round pick that may not pan out.

Has nothing to do with homosexuality. It has everything to do with that individual possessing a persona that will bring enormous amounts of circus attention to my team/locker room.

On paper, Manziel is worth that risk because he looks to have a higher chance to succeed.

Most (if not all) 7th round picks are not worth that risk.

Of course which is why I am calling b/s. The patriots took on tebow after it was known what he could do talent wise. Teams can deal with the headache especially of this kind of player. All headaches aren't the same. He's not a player who is a cancer, I assume he works hard, etc.

If dungy had a chance, i think he would take him in a similar spot. He is not the most talented guy in the world, but he has proven he can play well in the best conference in the country. There is alot of upside and little risk with that 7th round pick.
