Every house should be treated after a certain time length, no matter the product or system used. Termidor should give you a 7-10 year life (most companies will give you 10), so not sure why quote 1 is only giving you a 5 year life on it. Baiting systems seems to be a little more of an indirect form of treating, where as Trench and Treat is directly around all areas that termites can enter.
And although Termidor is not a bait by any means, it works almost as the same as it is undetected by termites and passed along from termite to termite. It is highly effective on the two main subterranean termites we have in LA.

do you have to digg a freakin 6in trench for termidor? or can you just pour it at the edge of the slab?
