I played as well but always played golf growing up. The swings are similar but getting the "baseball out of it" is not easy. Proper repetition and gaining new muscle memory will be your biggest obstacle if baseball is all you've known.
Hockey players and pitchers are good golfers for a reason.

I don't know...there were so many aspects of a "baseball swing" that were contradictory to my golf swing, I'm not sure I would have ever put it together without lessons. I would strongly suggest taking a handful of lessons, you will be surprised.
