re: Austin Folks, any local bands to check out?

if there's nothing in austin (and i didn't see much), the mavericks are in gruene hall, bout an hour from austin ... bit of an iconic texas music/dance hall ... and the mavericks are very, very good ... but that's an hour's drive ...
