This is especially the case in over-saturated law school markets like the north east and midwest. However, due to Louisiana's unique legal system, this hasn't quite been the case here.

Tulane is THE school for kids from the northeast to go to that can't get into the ivy league so they can party.

LSU continues to push for people not to work as 1L's, which makes it simultaniously less affordable and less attractive. That just leaves the two also-rans, Loyola and Southern which both have night programs and atrocious bar passage rates.

They say you can't work, but it's not hard to get permission from Administration aka Cheny Jo. I worked a campus job my second semester.

It's pretty easy to get approved to work. Plus going to LSU and not working is still probably cheaper than going to Loyola or Tulane with a crappy little part time job
