When normal factors aren't an option like this, I always look at fanbases and playstyle. Are the fans the type of people I'd fit in with and do they play a style of soccer that I'd pay to watch?

None of us "picked" our team. The team picked us. Just go watch a shite ton of games until something give you goosebumps.
