Like Mr. Sid said that went to school with Sammy. He was that good and lightning fast. I remember sitting in the old west end upper deck before the new renovations and was at that game when Hodson was a redshirt freshman and the Aggies came into Tiger Stadium ranked #1 in the nation. I remember seeing Sammy on a slant wide open on the middle of the field and thinking if Hodson can get the ball to him, It's a sure fire TD and that is what happened. Also a clutch receiver. Game against the Greenies in the Superdome and Mack Brown had the Greenies ready. Comes down to a 4th down with us having the ball and if we don't pick it up. Ballgame over. Mr. Cool catches the 4 or 5 yard pass from Hodson to pick up the 1st down and we go on to beat the Greenies on the game ending winning drive. Sammy was a great Tiger.

Thought it was Guidry who threw the pass to Sammie vs A&M (just going off memory).
