Why would he put the Cleveland rumors to bed if he is still thinking about playing there next year?

He didn't. End of story. He's leading two people on. That's like high fiving the guy who is your BFF to your face but behind closed doors he's railing your wife.
This is maybe the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. I would guess that 98% of free agents are handling their scenarios the same way as Lebron. The crazy thing is you're the type of guy that will hate on Lebron for taking a max contract saying he's only out for the money, but you'd also hate on him for taking less saying he's selling out just to try and win. Let him make the best decision. I don't know where you work but let's just say you graduated with an accounting degree from Mccombs (UT Business School). PWC and KPMG have both offered you positions. Are you just going to blindly choose one because you don't want to lead the other on, or are you going to evaluate both offers and figure out which one is best for your future, along with your families' future? Don't forget he has a wife and kids and if he wants to move he has to take their feelings into consideration. Give the man a break.

jimithing would even hate him if he played for his favorite team.
