The stats I'm finding show him at 6ft 220lbs, which really isn't that big. I'm 6ft 212lbs, so he's only 8lbs bigger than me.
What the other poster was saying about bodybuilding mirrors isn't meant as literal. It's all about perception. Laron is insanely lean, as pretty much all NFL DBs are. People equate lean to muscular because it shows off more definition. Just looking at him, he's probably 8% body fat and could likely be less. I'm between 15 and 16.
Doing the math, that's 17lbs of fat I have over him, and he has almost 25lbs more muscle than me.
That's a huge difference. I don't think I could gain that much muscle naturally, however that's what he does for a living. I think it's very likely he's all natural considering how much work he puts in. Even on steroids you still have to put the work in, it's not some miracle shot.
If you added something to compare him to in the pictures, he'd still look big, but not as freakish big. Put him next to The Rock and suddenly Laron doesn't look so freakish.
It's the same thing in the gym. I can go in and get some good pumps and feel great. I can see myself in the mirror and the guns are popping. Then suddenly some real badass walks up and I no longer look as big as I did 2 minutes prior.
I see these super lean guys that look big, until I stand right next to them. You realize quickly that it's all about perception and a little body fat drastically alters that.
