Yea it just seems silly to say there is only 1 plan.

The antivenom thing was controversial for some types of snakebites. For copperheads IMO it is almost never necessary. I never lost a dog to copperheads - even 1 that was bitten on the tounge and neck. For cottonmouth its a good idea I think. For rattlers it's a really good idea.

THe majority of dogs do recover so I think his dog should do ok.
