And you know it's true..

I haven't listened to that new SCI record or heard anyone talk about it. Are we really comparing jam band studio albums anyway? Phish is off to a stunning start this summer tour with some really great jams (7.1.14 Ghost->Weekapaug, Harry Hood ,7.3.14 Bathtub Gin->Limb by Limb, 7.4.14 Fuego->DWD , 7.5.14 Piper). Even if you think Fuego was a meh studio effort you can't deny it has had a positive effect on stage.

7/10 for content
1/10 for execution
I think with a more detailed reason why you thought so, then this would've gone 8-10 pages

I'm listening to it for a third time and actually think it is one of their top 4 studio albums, but still a "typical" phish studio album
Song In My Head was a total embodiment of all former SCI albums into one;(with the exception of Around The Wheel", it is a just a fantastic total work
Admittedly, SCI is my current #1 JB,(with the exception of ABB)
Also, I think Overstep may be better than Fuego
totally. cereal.

I've been here, brah
Lurking in the shadows.. watching the WSP and Phish boys scratch at each other while the elite SCI fans scoff from up high..
Oh, I've been here
Now let's play some tunnneess

Post some jams in my SCI thread

SCI can't touch Phish in the 90's but right now, SCI>Phish. I didn't think people thought otherwise

SCI doesn't have anything from this year that stacks up to the aforementioned

very well put
I remember thinking,"oh shite, they are gonna be commercialized now..", when So So on OITNB said,"yeah, then we jumped on stage at Bonnaroo when THE String Incident was playing.." when that other chick was going down on her
I cringed severely..

I watched the free Boulder show and Jazz Fest. I also listened to one of the Wakarusa sets and an Electric Forest set. Is that not enough to count as "actually listening"?

That shite cracked me up. Definitely sounds like something a new SCI fan would say. Those numbers are growing by the day, which kinda sucks but good to see them getting support.

brah SCIs first show at waka......

Yeah that 1 set was stupid. But you can blame lolWaka for that. You can't really talk either because you haven't seen them outside of a festival.
Heady you really can't either.

That really doesn't matter at all. I was 6 years old when Jerry died and never got to see the Grateful Dead. Can I not talk about them either?
The one SCI show I went to:
Disc 1:
1.Intro
2.Outside Inside
3.Rollover
4.Can't Stop Now
5.Yo Se
6.Sometimes A River
7.Rain
Disc 2:
1.Group Hoot
2.Jellyfish
3.Just One Story
SET II
4.Howard
5.Stayin' Alive > *
6.Best Feeling > *
7.Pack It Up
Disc 3:
1.Love Is Like A Train
2.Little Hands
3.Bumpin' Reel
4.Drums >
5.Howard
6.Search
7.Farther
8.Way Back Home
* - Keller Williams
It was a late night set so the lightshow was utilized. I really doubt seeing them at a one off as opposed to that setlist would all of a sudden flip a switch.

It does matter if you're comparing how both bands have been playing lately. It would make a lot more sense comparing bands when you actually know and have experienced something about each band.
It's provides a more sound argument, which is quite rare amongst phanners.
