I had this in another thread but decided to make a separate thread. Seems Ginsberg was right--it IS about contraceptives.

I hope this burns you up inside. I truly do.

Just do it the old fashioned way, PAY FOR IT YOURSELF.

She said the ruling set up unworkable regulations that risked "depriving hundreds of Wheaton's employees and students of their legal entitlement to contraceptive coverage"
and there you have the entire problem with the liberal-progressive-authoritarian mind at work
if you build an unworkable bureaucracy, don't bitch when it becomes an unworkable bureaucracy

Dang V&S, I already have heartburn from lunch, don't wish more fire on my insides.

One one level I agree with you, though I think birth control is needed by those that can't afford it for many different reasons. Plus what's good for the goose should be good for the gander--no viagra, no vasectomies, etc.

Exactly, laughable hypocrisy on the part of the liberal female 'justices.' ObamaCare is such a smooth, clear system of providing adequate healthcare, how dare you set up 'unworkable' regulations to muddy up the waters?!?!

So you believe contraceptives should not be covered under insurance? Do you feel the same about viagra and vasectomies?

I belive that decision should be made by whomever is providing the insurance and whomever is purchasing it, and no one else.
Why is that so difficult?

It's whatever the property owner (employer) wants it to be. Stop asking the government to violate people's private property rights.

Exactly! If an employee is not happy with the insurance provided by the employer (which is, btw, a benefit NOT a right), said employee can exercise his/her freedom to choose and choose to go work elsewhere or pay for certain things on their own. Pretty straightforward, really!

Good to hear. The remaining problem though is that those are still available under insurance. Although I understand one business has a case pending that includes all forms of birth control covering both men and women. I believe if men had to take a birth control pill you'd never see a ruling like this.

I don't happen to believe that men are evil and women are the embodiment of all that's good and superior. I happen to be blessed with amazing men in my life, relatives, friends, neighbors. Obviously, your underlying philosophy will strongly color how you view the world!

It doesn't matter what's covered or not covered. If the business owner wants to cover contraception and medical marijuana, but not ER visits or cancer, then that should be his business.

Not sure how you got there from my post. Just because someone believes in equal rights for women and that men have long held the political power in this country doesn't translate to thinking men are evil. Feminists come in both sexes.

That's because you're an emotional thinker

What rights do men have that women don't?
