yes. I've been trying for years to get in...internship at Morgan Stanley SF led to only sales opportunities...only internships in NYC at the time led to junior analyst positions(didn't know this)

I tried to get in with the casinos, banks(credit analyst), healthcare(business analyst), Accounting type(billing analyst)....can't even get a call of interest...and the ones that do...now say "but all your experience is in sales side"

I want to cave their heads in.

I stayed in Major areas....it's only now that I realize that you need to get in with a company in a small town(or big company with local small base)

I was in LA just recently and tried to get on with one of the plants as a low level analyst in a city of 7,000.....getting an analyst job for me has become a "bucket list" thing for me at this point.

I will move anywhere and work for free..I have savings to float....I find it comical at this point(after years of hair pulling))

how many years have you been working in the finance field? I don't mind paying my dues and am open to relocate if necessary but the military and school has forced me to put my life on hold for a long time and i'm now starting my career in my late 20's and was kind of hoping to get a decent start. all of my savings I built up was exhausted through staying afloat through grad school so I don't really have a nest egg to fall back on.
