No one in this thread is saying the Redskins or anyone should change their name. My issue and others issues lie in people trying to project their feelings on others and saying what they should or shouldn't be offended by. What if a white guy WERE offended by The ND Fighting Irish.
What if a white guy WERE offended by the NE Patriots? His family may have immigrated from England or Family of Tories.
What if a white atheist were offended by The New Orleans Saints.
And so on and so on. WHERE DOES IT STOP?
Or maybe all people just put their foot down on the PC BS and learn to laugh or realize that even innocent words can be used in a harmful way and words that appear harmful can be used in respect.
