Reid played hard as frick, bro. He had the vandy hit and state hit that were "highlight" play worthy. He had a lot of big hits, those were just career highlight types.

I think it needs to be broke down into 2 categories special teams/defense. Special teams hits I think you have to go with Jarvis, some of his hits were brutal! On defense I'd have to go with Chad Jones he hit like a truck!

1. Dreadlocks of Dome
2.Jacob Hester

Tigerstripes beat me to it. Jones by far.

Look i love Chad Jones as much as the next guy but to say he hit harder over a career than Laron Landry is not accurate. Laron was absolutely destructive.

Wasnt there a walk on fullback that kept breaking facemasks? Stampley I think. I didnt see it so it doesnt really count though.

The only correct answer is Laron Landry

Laron Landry or Brandon Lafell

The next season when Laron destroyed John Parker Wilson was awesome too

Most underated hit in LSU history
The announcers hardly even mention the hit and the fumble.
Partly because it was a busted assignment. Bama had about 70 more total yards that game than us and mainly because of two busted plays. This was one of them.
Trent Richardson was running full speed and that dude never fumbles. Eric Reid laid the wood perfectly.
Bama lucked up big time with that ball going out of bounds. That ball stays in bounds and who knows what would have happened.

Laron Landry
the others listed so far were great too, but Laron was constantly crushing people

Definitely Laron Landry. He made so many more hard hits than anyone else. Jones really had some hard hits, just not near as many

Laron looks to be the majority winner

How Laron Landry is not the only choice kinda has me scratching my head. A few good hits a year does not make you a "hard hitter". You have to do it on a consistent basis. Laron Landry did just that.
Chad Jones, Craig Steltz, Eric Reid, all hit hard but Laron Landry was on a different level. Even some of his deflected hits were brutal.

Easiest question ever
1. LaRon
2. Eric Reid
3. Chad Jones
4. Everyone else
I loved watching Chad play, but anyone who thinks he hit harder than LaRon and Reid saw that one Arkansas play and hang on that entirely too much.
