1. You won't get many serious answers here.

2. The answer is 288.

3. (Seriously) write EVERYTHING out, each step, line by line. Then when you screw up and get the wrong answer, you can go back and find where you made your mistake and hopefully not repeat it too often.

I haven't had Algebra since high school, but my daughter has been doing pre-Algebra stuff and that's what seems to help me help her.

i've taught hs chemistry and tutored college kids in chemistry, finance, intro to acct, and calculus, and this is the single best piece of advice you will get anywhere ...
